This first one is actually from Freiburg - I only noticed it when my grandmother was here, i.e. 3 months since I first arrived. And it's in a main Platz too ...
And the second is from Heidelberg:
I was there the other weekend visiting a friend, and the brass monkey (that funky monkey) is located by the bridge there. Something about all students having to kiss it, and all Japanese tourists having to stand inside it and have their photo taken with it. True:
And yes. It's even anatomically correct.
