Deutsche-nerd

Ok, so this blog is a solo effort, but I've never been one for passing up good suggestions. Well, to be more accurate, taking other peoples suggestions and passing them off as my own. But I digress.

I got an email from Shelie (BTB) last night with a truly wonderful suggestion for a way to improve my ever-so-slowly-expanding Deutsch lexicon:

Hey hey,

Random thought: here's a way for you to challenge your german skills... every day the userfriendly cartoon is translated by german fans, in the translation thread, such as this one: http://ars.userfriendly.org/cartoons/read.cgi?id=20070709&tid=2520831

You could go straight to the translations, try to read them, then check yourself against the actual cartoon!
It's german, AND geek!

*ahem*

Now I must go warm up my toes.

See - what a wonderful suggestion I had :) And since then, I came across another very amusing and geek site - WorseThanFailure, which if you're in any way IT is quite amusing - and found that they too have a German mirror. Fantastisch!

I have now bought slippers, so I no longer have to excuse myself from the computer to go warm up my toes.

w00t ... or should I say w0000w

did you buy them or make them yourself? And what did people say?

You've seen them, Dan made them last year for me, and no one noticed today! I think my hair hides my earrings except for the really observant :(
