Someone at work just came up to me and asked me what the Australians do.
"What the Australians do ... what?"I replied.
"What the Australians do for New Years? Do they have it the same time as us, or in June?" was their expanded question.
Cue subtle pause from me, then the very slow explanation of "No, it's our New Years there too ... it's based on months and not seasons."
I know the Russians, Chinese and Persians have their own New Years, though ... perhaps the Australians should too.
